In terms of core performance, the Oryon CPU of the Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition adopts a new micro-architecture specially designed for mobile terminals, with 2 super cores with a main frequency of up to 4.32GHz and 6 performance cores with a main frequency of 3.53GHz. Its single-core performance and multi-core performance have increased by 45% compared with the previous generation, power consumption has been reduced by 44%, and browser performance has been improved by 62%, which can provide strong performance and energy efficiency support for a large number of multi-tasking, fast web browsing and fast game response experience. At the same time, the Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition also supports LPDDR5X memory with a rate of up to 10.7Gbps, bringing users a richer terminal-side AI experience.
Based on the new Qualcomm Hexagon NPU, the Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition supports personalized multi-modal AI assistants on the terminal side for the first time, enabling larger and more complex multi-modal generative AI use cases to run efficiently on the terminal side.
