Next-generation circuit simulation software QSPICE TM
In July 2023, QSPICE realized a new generation of mixed-mode circuit simulation , which uniquely combines modern schematic capture technology and fast mixed-mode simulation, helping designers to simulate complex digital circuits and algorithms, bringing revolutionary changes to circuit simulation for power and analog designers. In November, Qorvo QSPICE won the "2023 Elektra Design Tool and Development Software Annual Product Award" from the British Electronics Weekly , and was deeply loved by engineers~



PAC22140 and PAC25140

In March 2023, the industry's first 20-battery pack intelligent battery management single-chip solutions PAC22140 and PAC25140 were released. These two PACs are single-chip solutions that can support battery packs consisting of up to 20 batteries in series, and use intelligent motor control technology, allowing intelligent battery management solutions to be applied to various industries, electric vehicles, backup batteries and other fields.



PAC5556
Power solution integrating intelligent motor controller and high-efficiency SiC FET Reference design released in February 2022. The PAC series products are highly optimized SoC devices that combine digital controller and analog driver into one to achieve BLDC and PMSM control. PAC5556 is a PAC® Cortex-M4F series that integrates Cortex-M4F MCU, power management, half-bridge gate driver and analog front end on a single chip.




Qorvo acquires UnitedSiC

In November 2021, Qorvo announced the acquisition of UnitedSiC, a leading supplier of silicon carbide power semiconductors , to further expand Qorvo's influence in the fast-growing electric vehicle (EV), industrial power supply, circuit protection, renewable energy and data center power supply markets.




4th generation SiC FET with R DS(on) of only 6mΩ
Qorvo released its leading 750V 4th generation SiC FET device in September 2021, reducing the R DS(on) value to 6mΩ . The new device has an R DS(on) value less than half that of the closest SiC MOSFET competitor and also provides a robust 5μs rated short-circuit withstand time. Based on the "common source and common gate" topology, a SiC JFET is integrated and packaged together with a silicon MOSFET - enabling high speed and low loss as well as high temperature operation, while maintaining a simple, stable and robust gate drive with integrated ESD protection.



ACT88760
The powerful new multi-time programmable PMIC, ACT88760, will be available in June 2021 , effectively addressing the power, performance and size challenges in applications such as AI processors, VR headsets, and action cameras. It allows designers to change configurations multiple times without special software or firmware, thereby accelerating time to market for enterprise and battery-powered consumer applications.



First 750V SiC FETs
In November 2020, the first and only 750V SiC FETs on the market were released . These new devices extend United Silicon Carbide's offering to 750V, and these four new SiC FETs include 18mΩ and 60mΩ options, with unmatched FoM, lower on-resistance per unit area, and low intrinsic capacitance. These devices not only exceed the performance of existing SiC MOSFET competitors, but also provide the lowest body diode VF and have excellent reverse recovery characteristics, thereby reducing dead-time losses and improving efficiency.




ACT85610 and ACT86600
In March 2020, two power management ICs that significantly improved the power management status of enterprise and cloud computing systems were launched. The ACT85610 was the only product on the market at the time with a compact monolithic design, combining high-performance power-off protection and programmable power management in a single chip. The ACT85610 integrates eFuse, buck regulator and boost regulator FETs, supports enterprise-level SSD applications covering common power inputs, and provides seven programmable general-purpose input/output ports. The integrated 8-channel 12-bit ADC allows measurement and monitoring of key system parameters.



First SiC FETs with R DS(on) below 10mΩ
In December 2019, the world's first silicon carbide FETs with R DS(on) below 10mΩ were released , setting a new benchmark for performance and efficiency! A total of four new SiC FETs with R DS(on) values ​​as low as 7mΩ are suitable for high-power applications such as electric vehicle inverters, high-power DC/DC converters, high-current battery chargers and solid-state circuit breakers. Among these four new UF3C SiC FET devices, one product is rated at 650V and R DS(on) is 7mΩ, and the other three are rated at 1200V with R DS(on) of 9 and 16mΩ respectively.



UJ3C1200 Series
In 2018, SiC promoted the upgrade trend of high-voltage power devices in new energy vehicles, photovoltaic inverters, etc. The voltage rating of the UJ3C1200 series of high-voltage silicon carbide devices has surpassed 1200V for the first time, with an on-resistance of 80 and 40mΩ. With the speed, efficiency and high temperature rating of SiC JFET, it is an ideal choice for upgrading and replacing IGBT, silicon and SiC MOSFET.
