According to the characteristics of color CMOS image sensor and Bayer CFA format image, a compression method based on Bayer image is proposed to realize the splitting and parallel wavelet transform of RGB three components. The lifting wavelet structure adopts time-division multiplexing and pipeline structure, making full use of the FPGA on-chip storage resources to realize the parallel execution of row-column transformation. At the same time, the seamless buffering of data between FPGA and off-chip SDRAM is completed through ping-pong operation, so as to achieve fast parallel output of wavelet coefficients at all levels. The system has been verified to fully meet the requirements of real-time image processing, providing favorable conditions for subsequent real-time compression encoding and transmission.
