– PowiGaN-based switching power ICs can achieve high efficiency of 95% and output power up to 100 W. Not only are they suitable for high-power fast charging applications, but they also provide heat sink-free power solutions for home appliances, eliminating the damage and reliability issues associated with heat sinks.
Easier to use
– PowiGaN-based ICs integrate drivers customized for specific PowiGaN devices to optimize switching speeds, thereby reducing EMI, improving efficiency and eliminating oscillations.
Improved protection
– PowiGaN devices also feature a lossless primary current sensing technique that completely eliminates the need for external sense resistors (in discrete solutions, these resistors would typically exceed the resistance of the GaN switch itself).
