Gallium nitride not only outperforms silicon carbide, but also has manufacturing cost advantages, but its voltage resistance is low, and its application is limited to consumer products and mains applications.
PI's recently launched 1700 V high-voltage gallium nitride product can replace silicon carbide in flyback applications.
