5G, connecting the future

Recently, MediaTek successfully developed and integrated a 3GPP 5G standard terminal prototype with a mobile phone-sized 8-antenna. It also teamed up with Huawei to complete the 5G New Air Interface Interoperability Docking Test (IODT), with an actual throughput rate exceeding 5Gbps. MediaTek also became the first chip manufacturer to have a mobile phone-sized antenna and complete docking tests with communication equipment manufacturers.

NB-IoT brings new breakthroughs in IoT communication technology

Compared with communication technologies such as WiFi and Bluetooth, NB-IoT is more reliable, safer, lower cost, and has a wider coverage. MediaTek's first NB-IoT system-on-chip, the MT2625, is the industry's smallest universal NB-IoT module, capable of providing low-power and cost-effective solutions for massive IoT devices with ultra-high integration.
