Trend 1 Robots: Meals delivered directly to rooms, a good helper for hotels and hospitals

At the Aloft Hotel next to Apple headquarters, we saw the hotel's waiter robot Botlr. This robot usually stands by the service desk on the first floor. We called the service staff to deliver the meal to the room on the second floor. After the service staff handed the meal to the robot, it took the elevator, avoided the guests on the road, and found my room automatically. Not long after, the phone in the room rang, and it turned out to be the robot Botlr standing at the door calling me to open the door. It only took 5 minutes from placing the order to picking up the meal.

In downtown San Francisco, we also visited a cloud restaurant called Eatsa. At lunchtime, I ordered a Mexican Burrito rice. I chose to pair it with onions, eggs and other ingredients. The screen showed that this meal had 646 calories and 25 grams of protein. All the nutrients had been carefully calculated and it only cost US$6.95 (approximately NT$220).

在旧金山，朋友介绍我们一款硅谷开发的手机软体PhotoMath。「手机能教你算数学？」我有点怀疑，试著把手机镜头对准国中程度的代数题目，没想到，几秒钟内，手机已自动辨识题目内容，算出正确答案。更酷的是，连每一步的解法都一一列出，教你怎麽算，而且这款软体还有中文版。

「这家公司用的是机器学习的技术。」投资PhotoMath的心元资本创办人郑博仁说。和打败围棋高手的AlphaGo公司一样，创业团队用人工智慧教电脑算数学。因此，你可以用这款软体检查小孩数学作业是否做对；这款软体也被称为「作弊神器」，学生可藉此轻易取得答案。

Trend 4: Virtual Reality: Simulate climbing Mount Everest and watching movies with distant friends

虚拟实境已经有许多游戏之外的应用。我戴上虚拟实境装置，看一部描写兔子生活的动画片，一瞬间感觉自己像是变成了兔子，左右张望，我用兔子的高度看世界；耳朵裡听到其他兔子的对话。比起传统的电影，虚拟实境让我像是进入了电影场景。

隔壁的摊位，有其他厂商用虚拟实境技术，让你体验爬圣母峰的感觉；还有人展示用虚拟实境技术，转播最热门的球赛，让你像坐在球场裡的贵宾席。我也体验了宏达电展示的虚拟实境技术，在虚拟空间裡和远在加拿大的其他人一起看电影、聊天、玩飞盘，就像真的在一间虚拟房间裡互动，虚拟空间变成比脸书更酷的网路社交场合。拿下虚拟实境装置，感觉像是从另一个世界回到地球。
