The SFH 4170S infrared LED is compact and easier to integrate, further meeting the needs of customers' space-constrained applications.

The Aoralscan 3i oral digital impression device of Xinlin Dental Clinic is ergonomically designed, lightweight and compact, weighing only about 240 grams, and can be held in one hand at any angle of 360°. Aoralscan 3i supports medical workers to efficiently collect reliable intraoral 3D digital impressions, and uses near-infrared imaging technology to achieve radiation-free interproximal caries detection. Combined with the oral health examination report, orthodontic simulation, intelligent comparison and other software functions developed by Xinlin Dental Clinic, it assists doctors and dental clinics to create professional and considerate full-cycle oral health management services for patients, comprehensively improve the work efficiency of medical technicians, and at the same time, help to improve the public's awareness of oral health care, thereby improving the public's oral health level.

The SFH 4170S infrared LED from ams OSRAM makes the compact design of intraoral scanners possible. This infrared LED uses an ultra-small 1.6mm×1.6mm high-quality ceramic package, which greatly saves the design space of the scanning equipment. Thanks to the infrared thin film chip technology and stacked crystal technology, this infrared LED has high power and high efficiency, with a typical radiation flux of 1150mW. A single LED can meet the needs of small infrared fill light. At the same time, it achieves low energy consumption and good heat dissipation, effectively reducing the heat dissipation design pressure of integrated circuits.

SFH 4170S belongs to the OSLON® P1616 series of infrared LEDs. The series also includes 850nm SFH 4171S, 940nm SFH 4180S, SFH 4181S and rectangular spot SFH 41747S. They are designed for different application scenarios and all have the characteristics of high power, high efficiency and high reliability, providing customers with a variety of excellent light source options.

These latest members of the P1616 family produce very high optical output power from such a small package.
