❶The UK announced the "Advanced Manufacturing Plan" to provide 2 billion pounds of funding for the automotive industry

The UK government has unveiled its Advanced Manufacturing Plan to support local job creation and industry, including battery production. The new blueprint includes 2 billion pounds ($2.5 billion) in funding for the automotive industry and 975 million pounds for aerospace, and could create 100,000 new jobs in the battery industry, a statement said. It also builds on Nissan Motor Co's recent announcement of a £1.12 billion investment in expanding its UK electric vehicle center and Tata Motors Ltd's recent announcement of a £4 billion investment in a gigafactory in Somerset.

❷Tesla proposes to invest US$2 billion in India in exchange for 15% import tariff concession

Citing people familiar with the matter, Tesla (TSLA) hopes to receive a 15% import tariff concession in the first two years of operation in exchange for investing up to $2 billion to build a factory in India. Tesla proposed a tiered investment structure based on the number of cars allowed by reduced tariffs, starting at $500 million to import 12,000 cars and $2 billion for 30,000 cars, the report said. Sources said the government is considering the feasibility of Tesla's proposal to increase investment, but plans to limit the number of cars eligible for preferential tariffs.

According to Huawei’s official website, Huawei and Sharp announced the signing of a new long-term global patent cross-licensing agreement on November 27. The agreement covers essential patents for cellular standards including 4G and 5G. Fan Zhiyong, Director of Huawei's Intellectual Property Department, said: "This license agreement reflects the mutual recognition of intellectual property rights by the two companies as standard contributors, and also promotes standardization cooperation. ❸Samsung Display supplies OLED screens for Steam Deck
Samsung Display is supplying OLED screen panels for Valve's handheld gaming console Steam Deck.
