The photoelectric control safety device of the punch press can ensure the safety of the operator. It consists of a light-emitting head, a receiving head, a sensitive relay and a control
circuit. The light-controlled safety device of the punch press can also be applied to the light-controlled safety device of the dumper and the non-contact switch.
The circuit is shown in Figure 6-49. During normal operation, light (through the condenser lens) shines on the phototransistor VTi, relay
KA is attracted, KM is engaged, traction electromagnet YB is engaged, and the punch press starts normally.
When the operator's hand reaches into the danger zone of the punch press, the light is blocked, KA is released, KM is released, YB is released due to power failure, and
the braking mechanism is activated to achieve emergency stop.
If a 36V or 40W work lamp is used as the light source, the distance between the light source and the receiving head should not exceed 1m; if a
60W work lamp is used as the light source, the distance between the light source and the receiving head can reach 1.3m.
Traction electromagnet YB can adopt MQl-5131 type.
