0805Y1000103KXR Overview

As a result of hearing experiences with customer MLCCs experiencing stress damage, FlexiCap™, a proprietary flexible epoxy polymer termination material, was developed for use in devices beneath the surface of common nickel barriers. FlexiCap™ will withstand greater plate flexure than conventional capacitors. An additional benefit of FlexiCap™ is that the MLCC can withstand temperature cycling -55ºC to 125ºC over 1000 times without cracking. FlexiCap™ can be soldered using your traditional wave or reflow soldering techniques without the need to adjust to equipment or current processes. 0805 Series Nickel Barrier Terminations are coated with tin (NiSn) plating. Applications include mobile phone, video and tuner design, COG/NPO is a very popular "temperature compensated" solution, EIA Class I ceramic materials, X7R, X5R solutions are called "temperature stable" ceramics and use EIA Class II materials; Y5V , Z5U solution is suitable for limited temperature range, EIA Class II materials; these characteristics are very suitable for decoupling applications.
