TI live broadcast at 8pm tonight [Innovation of next-generation automotive gateway system]
Under the trend of autonomous driving, automakers have introduced a variety of features such as smart access, vehicle sharing, predictive maintenance, vehicle tracking, fleet management, and wireless (OTA) upgrades to enhance connectivity and in-vehicle communications. The amount of data generated by these advanced features continues to grow, requiring high-performance processors to process and communicate securely and reliably across interfaces such as CAN, LIN, and high-speed networks such as Ethernet.
The architecture of automotive gateways and TCUs is changing rapidly to efficiently process and move large amounts of data between various domains in the car. Scalable SoCs with integrated MCU subsystems, application processors and high-speed I/O capabilities will help meet the needs of this new architecture with a reduced system BOM. TI's new generation of Jacinto 7 automotive processors drives innovation in ADAS, gateways, vehicle computing and digital cockpit systems. This allows "green" travel and more efficient connected cars to communicate with the cloud using high data bandwidth.
