Problem Description

This is the most common problem encountered by many novices when they start learning Modelsim simulation. Often after clicking to run the simulation, the Modelsim software can be opened, but the waveform content cannot be displayed correctly, or the waveform window appears, but there is no signal or waveform.

The problem occurs because
your code is incorrectly written, or your simulation script (nativelink) is incorrectly set, or other reasons.
Solution:
When encountering this problem, the solution is very simple. Check the report content in the Transcript window of the Modelsim simulation software. There are many contents in this window, which can be scrolled up and down with the slider or mouse wheel. Find the error information and double-click it. If it is a code error, it can automatically locate the error location. Be sure to read this information window and scroll it to analyze the errors and warnings in it.
