In a rare move for Apple, the company reportedly released a 59-page report last week declaring itself a leader in health technology.
The company published an in-depth report last week detailing every health and fitness-related feature it has released so far on the iPhone and Apple Watch, with one underlying message: We’ve made a big difference in health, and anyone who says otherwise is wrong.
Such an unprecedented report naturally raises a question: Who is this report intended for?
It is true that Apple Watch has great potential as a health tool. For example, it may one day launch temperature, blood sugar and blood pressure monitoring functions. However, it takes time to gather these killer features. The temperature function may appear on this year's new products, but the blood pressure function may not be launched until 2025, and the blood sugar function may not be launched until 2030.
Even without these health features, the upcoming new Apple Watch will still be one to watch this year. Rumor has it that the high-end Pro model will have a larger screen, longer battery life (a low-power mode that can add several days of battery life on a single charge), and a temperature sensor. But there's more to it than that.
It is also reported that the screen of this high-end Apple Watch will be much larger than the standard Apple Watch - so large that it may only attract a small number of users. Its screen is about 7% larger and will adopt a brand new appearance design - this is also the first time Apple has launched a new Apple Watch since 2018. However, it will only evolve based on the existing rectangular design, not the circular design. Of course, it will not adopt the rumored flat-edge design. From a material perspective, this watch will use a durable titanium frame to increase its sturdiness.
