EU delays plans to regulate Apple until spring 2023


According to EU antitrust chief Margrethe Vestager, extensive new EU regulations targeting Apple and other large tech companies will take effect in early 2023. The EU's Digital Markets Act (DMA) could force Apple to make major changes to the App Store, Messages, FaceTime, third-party browsers, and Siri in Europe. For example, it could be forced to allow users to install third-party app stores and sideload apps, enable developers to closely interoperate with Apple's own services and promote their offers outside the App Store, use third-party payment systems, and access data collected by Apple.


US game market revenue will surpass China's for the first time this year


According to Newzoo, the gaming revenue in the United States ($50.5 billion) will surpass that of China ($50.2 billion) in 2022.
