On April 22, according to Taiwan media Economic Daily, AUO General Manager Ke Furen said yesterday (21) that the global economic situation is changing dramatically. The Russian-Ukrainian war, the epidemic lockdown and inflation have increased the uncertainty of terminal demand, resulting in weak demand and impacting panel prices. It is still impossible to determine when panel prices will stop falling, and we need to closely observe changes in the global economic situation.

Ke Furen pointed out that although many areas in mainland China that were originally closed have partially resumed work, it will take some time for the affected industrial supply chains and operations to return to their original operating efficiency, and it is estimated that the entire second quarter will be affected to varying degrees. It is currently impossible to predict the extent of the impact of this epidemic on the industry and supply chain, and the subsequent impact needs to be continuously monitored.
