New antenna tuner from Infineon enables ultra-high data rates, excellent signal quality and longer battery life in 5G smartphones

[Munich, Germany, March 11, 2022] With the rapid growth of the number of connected devices, customers expect product design and functionality to provide a better user experience. This poses a huge challenge to RF engineers. Antenna design has become increasingly complex due to the increasing requirements for new features, performance, and innovative appearance and size. In particular, the introduction of 5G technology requires more antennas to be placed in the limited space of terminal devices to achieve more frequency band coverage, which undoubtedly brings further challenges to antenna design. All of these factors may affect the performance of the antenna.
