The country's first "MEMS industry patent pool" has started operation

On October 28, at the 2021 NanoExpo Intellectual Property Forum, the MEMS Industry Intellectual Property Alliance was unveiled, and the country's first "MEMS Industry Patent Pool" started operations.

According to information from Suzhou Nano City, the MEMS Industry Intellectual Property Alliance will use the integration and strategic application of intellectual property resources as a link to strive to create an innovation system with deep integration of "production, learning, research, introduction and application", innovate the intellectual property operation mechanism, promote implementation and guide the orderly circulation of intellectual property rights, and provide strong support for the high-quality development of emerging industries in the park and continuously stimulate innovation and entrepreneurship.

In addition, it is introduced that the MEMS industry patent pool is the first attempt of the park to establish a patent pool in strategic emerging industries. The patent pool will give full play to its important role in dealing with and negotiating external intellectual property disputes and integrating and using internal intellectual property resources, and promote cross-border innovation and full-chain integration of the MEMS industry. A total of 12 companies in the first batch will be providers of patents in the patent pool.
