After Microsoft released Windows 11, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella gave an interview to The Wall Street Journal to discuss the next generation of Windows and the possibility of Apple bringing some services such as iMessage to Windows.
One of the main features of Windows 11 is its opening to a third-party app market and Microsoft's ultimate goal of making the platform a hub for creativity beyond its own Microsoft App Store. Windows 11 will allow users to run Android apps, but will lack integration with Windows and iPhone. In this regard, Nadella mentioned iPhone and Windows and said that Microsoft will be "happy to make sure it works better."
The CEO went on to say that Windows, like other companies, welcomes Apple, including bringing iMessage to the platform. iMessage has always been a hallmark of Apple devices, and although Apple will partially open FaceTime to Android and Windows later this year, iMessage remains an Apple exclusive.
