On June 7, Ultra-Tech stated on an interactive platform that the company's copper foil prices have been on an upward trend since the second half of 2020, and will be adjusted according to market conditions based on downstream demand.
In addition, it cooperated with the Yulin Municipal Government of Guangxi to invest in the construction of an annual production of 100,000 tons of high-precision copper foil (constructed in two phases) and an annual production of 10 million high-end core boards. The project started construction in February this year. It is expected that the 20,000 tons of 50,000 tons of high-precision copper foil project and the 10 million high-end core board project in the first phase of the project will be put into production in mid-2022. After the project is completed, it will become the world's largest and most advanced electronic copper foil monomer production base.
In terms of performance, Chaohua Technology achieved operating income of 1.278 billion yuan in 2020, a year-on-year decrease of 3.29%; the net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was 21.4689 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16.03%.
During the period, it held the commissioning ceremony of the "Phase II Project with an Annual Production of 8,000 Tons of High-Precision Electronic Copper Foil", the groundbreaking ceremony of the "Project with an Annual Production of 6 Million High-End Core Boards", and the "Project with an Annual Production of 20,000 Tons of High-Precision Ultra-Thin Lithium Battery Copper Foil" in Meizhou. After the Phase II project was put into production, the company's copper foil production capacity has reached 20,000 tons, a significant increase of 67%.
At the same time, the company is accelerating the progress of lithium battery copper foil and high-end core board projects. In 2021, Chaohua Technology reached an investment cooperation intention with the Yulin Municipal Government, and plans to invest 12.26 billion yuan to build an annual production of 100,000 tons of high-precision electronic copper foil and 10 million high-end core board projects in Yulin, Guangxi. After the project is completed, it will become the world's largest production capacity and most advanced electronic copper foil monomer production base. Through the implementation of the above projects, the company will rapidly increase the production capacity of high-end products such as RTF, VLP, HVLP copper foil, ultra-thin, ultra-thin, high-tensile lithium battery copper foil, high-frequency and high-speed copper clad laminates, and improve the product structure.
It is reported that its VLP copper foil has been produced on a small scale and continues to promote mass production progress; in addition, the company has successfully developed 4.5μm lithium battery copper foil products in the field of lithium battery copper foil, and the product performance has met the requirements of high-end products in the market. The 6μm high-strength and high-ductility lithium battery copper foil has achieved another performance breakthrough, and continued industrial research on new crystal forms of HVLP copper foil and NP copper foil has rapidly improved the performance of the company's products, greatly enhancing the core competitiveness of its products.
