Carbon Emission Management and Consulting Service Provider Carbon Blockage Receives RMB 50 Million in Series A Funding

According to 36Kr, Carbon Block, a provider of carbon emission management software and consulting solutions, announced that it has received 50 million yuan in Series A financing, led by Hillhouse Capital and followed by Matrix Partners China.

Public information shows that Carbon Block is China's first software and consulting service provider focusing on carbon emission management, specializing in providing carbon emission management consulting, training, software and carbon neutrality products and services to enterprises and institutions. Carbon Block was founded in 2011 by Yan Luhui, a master of Oxford University. Carbon Block is a national high-tech enterprise and a Zhongguancun high-tech enterprise.

The core product of Carbon Block is the independently developed "Enterprise Carbon Emission Measurement and Management Platform", which is China's first carbon emission management software for organizations. It has obtained dozens of software copyrights and is the only Chinese representative to be shortlisted for the World Bank's Climate Change Software Competition. The "Enterprise Carbon Emission Measurement and Management Platform" software project was shortlisted for the top six of the British Embassy's Cultural and Education Office's "Green Living Action". The software already has more than 100 domestic and foreign customers.

The clients of carbon blocking services include multinational corporations, large state-owned enterprises, private enterprises, international organizations, government agencies and non-governmental organizations; the industry sectors include communications, steel, chemicals, electricity, toys, telecommunications, automobiles, food and beverages, agricultural products, energy, etc.
