Foreign media reported that Garmin has launched a new Enduro series smartwatch specifically for athletes, and promised to provide a pretty amazing battery life experience. The company said in a press release that with solar power, the Enduro smartwatch can last up to 65 days on a single charge. But if all additional features and sensors are turned on, the battery life will be greatly reduced to only 3 days.
In terms of specifications, Garmin has equipped the Enduro with a 1.4-inch circular OLED screen (system resolution 280×280), supplemented by a variety of GPS navigation, VO2 Max, heart rate, ABC trio, and Pulse Ox sensors suitable for wearing and enabling during exercise.
Officials said that Enduro is mainly aimed at endurance athletes, and the appearance uses a lightweight and durable UltraFit nylon strap and an optional DLC-coated titanium bezel. Through careful design, users can quickly adjust settings or disable certain functions while running or cycling.
In terms of battery life, Garmin says the watch can work continuously for 70 hours with GPS turned on, and can be extended to 80 hours with solar power if the light is good.
In addition to the impressive battery life, the Enduro series smartwatches are not cheap. The standard version costs $799.99 (about 5167 RMB), and the titanium version is as high as $899.99 (about 5813 RMB).
Finally, with the launch of the new smartwatch, Garmin also recommends that Enduro users use it with the company's inReach Mini satellite communicator.
Users can use this to quickly send and receive messages and share their location on their wrist, so that friends and family can quickly follow during long-distance competitions or extended training, and the reliability is far superior to cellular mobile networks.
The inReach Mini is lightweight and compact enough to clip easily onto a backpack or vest, and comes with an included UltraFit nylon strap (designed with fitness use in mind).
It is worth mentioning that inReach Mini also supports interactive SOS. After activating the call, the response coordinator will track the location of the device, notify local emergency personnel, and maintain communication with the preset emergency contacts throughout the process.
