Touch ID hasn’t received much attention since Apple removed the feature from its flagship iPhone line in 2018. However, with the launch of devices like the 2020 iPhone SE and iPad Air 4, Apple is showing signs that it will continue to retain and improve the technology. As the news surrounding the iPhone 13 continues to heat up, now there are whistleblowers talking about the return of Touch ID.
If the news is true, it is speculated that Apple may adopt an under-screen fingerprint solution. Not long ago, Qualcomm launched its second-generation 3D ultrasonic sensor, which is not only 50% faster than the first-generation sensor, but also 77% larger.
However, IT Home learned that the iPad Air 4 has integrated Touch ID into the power button, so the iPhone 13 may also adopt the same solution.
