OPPO may launch a co-branded sliding folding phone with Tom Ford

OPPO just showed off its muscles earlier - OPPO X 2021 roll-up screen concept phone and OPPO X Nendo Opple foldable concept phone.

Foreign media LetsGoDigital discovered some documents yesterday, which showed that OPPO is developing a new concept phone. Details such as the phone's wallpaper show that the phone is most likely designed in collaboration with American fashion design brand Tom Ford (commonly seen in TF lipstick).

In addition, the back of the phone has three cameras, arranged similarly to a handbag buckle, the module frame comes with a wood grain structure, and the back cover seems to be leather. Just below the lens module is clearly marked: "OPPO X Tom Ford-Concept Design Shakira", and the flash is perfectly integrated into this aesthetic system, even if you have obsessive-compulsive disorder, you won't have much resistance.

This phone uses a folding solution similar to a scroll screen, which can expand the display area by stretching the screen. The screen size before stretching is comparable to that of a makeup box, and after unfolding it can reach the normal size of a phone. In addition, the top of this phone seems to have two pull-ring-shaped decorations, which is expected to be a tribute to the classic women's handbag design (it should be able to hang decorations, but I guess no one does this).

IT Home learned that the two sides of the phone seem to be made of knitted fabric and metal, with the same wood grain design. The SIM card slot is on the right side of the body. Other details are not discussed for the time being.

It is worth mentioning that OPPO is not the only smartphone manufacturer to cooperate with fashion design brands. OnePlus also cooperated with famous fashion designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac a few years ago to launch the OnePlus 5 JCC+ limited edition mobile phone; and Samsung also recently launched a number of Thom Browne Edition models.

Tom Ford is a top American fashion designer who worked for the Italian luxury brand Gucci for a long time in his early years. In 2004, he founded his own sunglasses production line, and later launched men's and women's clothing, accessories, cosmetics and perfumes.
