Huaxing Yuanchuang stated on the interactive platform that Apple is the company's end customer. If Apple's foundries in India continue to be affected by violent incidents, and factors such as the epidemic severely hinder production capacity, it may prompt Apple to transfer part of its overseas production capacity back to China. The company will closely monitor the development of the incident and make relevant response work.

According to the Times of India, a violent incident broke out during the night shift at an iPhone foundry in India on Friday (December 11), allegedly because Apple's assembly partner Wistron did not pay the promised wages to the workers. Most of the more than 2,000 employees at the factory damaged factory facilities, assembly workshops and other properties, and set fire to vehicles. The workers also attacked the executives' offices, and the police have been dispatched to deal with the incident.

The cause of the violence was reportedly due to workers not receiving the full salary promised when they were hired. According to employees, the factory promised to provide engineering graduates with a monthly salary of 21,000 rupees, but they only received 16,000 rupees, which has been reduced to 12,000 rupees in recent months. The monthly salary of non-engineering graduates has been reduced to 8,000 rupees. Some employees even claimed that they only received 500 rupees in salary.

Wistron said on the evening of the 12th that the company's factory in Bangalore, India, was invaded and damaged by outsiders. The local Indian police have entered the factory, initiated protection measures, and conducted criminal investigations. Currently, only the office facilities, lobby and glass in the factory have been damaged. The main production lines, equipment, warehouses and products are not affected. The impact of the incident is limited.
