A report by market research firm Counterpoint shows that in the third quarter of 2020, sales in Russia's smartphone market increased by 5% year-on-year, and the online channel sales share reached 34%, breaking the record of the previous quarter (32%).

Among them, Samsung ranked first with a market share of 28.4%, Huawei ranked second with a market share of 25.5%, followed by Xiaomi and Apple, with market shares of 22.6% and 9.2% respectively.
Assistant Analyst Soumen Mandal commented on the performance of various brands, "In the third quarter of 2020, Samsung surpassed Huawei to once again win the Russian smartphone market championship. Huawei's overall sales declined due to supply shortages, but it still ranked first in the online market with a share of 27.8%. After the retail stores resumed operations, Samsung returned to the offline market, resulting in a decline in online share."
In terms of best-selling models, Samsung Galaxy A51, Galaxy A31 and Apple iPhone 11 are the best-selling models on online platforms, while Samsung Galaxy A51, Redmi Note 8T and Samsung Galaxy A31 are the best-selling models on offline platforms.
Finally, the report pointed out that due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the policies of some countries, the situation in the smartphone market continued to change in 2020. Xiaomi began to deploy retail stores, which is expected to further increase its market share.
