According to the Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily, Digital China and Honor responded to the rumors that "Huawei plans to sell the Honor brand to the Shenzhen government and Digital China for 100 billion yuan."


A person from Digital China’s securities department responded, “We don’t respond to rumors.” A person from Honor’s marketing communications department responded, “There is no response yet, we don’t know anything internally, and we just read the media reports.


It is reported that Reuters quoted people familiar with the matter as saying that Huawei plans to sell the Honor brand to the Shenzhen government and Digital China for 100 billion yuan.


He added that the all-cash sale would cover almost all of Honor’s assets, including its brand, research and development capabilities and supply chain management. Huawei could announce the news as early as Sunday, one of the people said.
