Nokia has made a comeback in recent years under HMD Global with several smartphones and a focus on software security. The brand now has a large number of smartphones, ranging from entry-level to mid-range to flagship models.
The Nokia 9 PureView flagship released last year was equipped with a rear five-camera system with a ToF sensor. However, this model did not seem to be successful, and Light, the manufacturer that provided camera modules for Nokia, also announced its complete withdrawal from the mobile phone market.
Recently, a domestic netizen stumbled upon the Nokia 9 engineering machine when searching for classic Nokia smartphones on a second-hand platform. The webpage shows that the price of the device is 9,999 yuan. Unlike the mass-produced machine, the device still has a five-camera combination and a ToF sensor, but there is also a physical fingerprint scanner on the back. Another aspect is that the middle frame of the engineering machine is inlaid with a gold frame.
Apart from these two aspects, the design and configuration are basically the same as the final Nokia 9 PureView.
It is reported that there are less than 5 Nokia 9 engineering machines in the world.
