According to AnTuTu, on October 12, a new SoC running score data appeared in the background of AnTuTu. Judging from the architecture, this is the Exynos 1080 that Samsung had previously announced.

It is reported that in terms of architecture, this SoC uses four Cortex-A78 large cores and four Cortex-A55 small cores, and the GPU is Mali-G78, but the number of cores is not identified. According to Samsung's previous announcement, it is built using a 5nm process.

IT Home learned that in terms of configuration, the model of the mysterious new phone equipped with this SoC is "ORION", which uses a 2376×1080 resolution screen, built-in 8GB of memory and 512GB of body storage space, and runs the Android 11 system.

In terms of running points, the current score counted by AnTuTu is 693600, of which the CPU score is 181099, the GPU score is 297676, the MEM score is 115169, and the UX score is 99656.

This total score has surpassed the current most powerful Snapdragon 865 Plus, and even has a clear advantage over the Snapdragon 865 with GPU overclocking.

AnTuTu said that comparing the sub-item scores, the CPU part is basically on par with Snapdragon 865, and the GPU has a clear advantage, which means that the GPU scale of Exynos 1080 is very large and has reached the flagship level.

In addition, judging from the MEM score, this new machine is equipped with LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 flash memory, which has obvious advantages in read and write speed. The UX score also means that the new machine is equipped with a screen with a refresh rate of at least 120Hz.

According to previous reports, Samsung Exynos 1080 will use Samsung's most advanced 5nm LPE process, which is two generations ahead of the 8nm process used by the previous generation Exynos 980. At the same time, Exynos 1080 will also use ARM's latest dual-cluster CPU architecture consisting of Cortex-A78 and Cortex-A55, and the integrated GPU will also be upgraded to ARM's latest Mali-G78. It is reported that the CPU of this processor can be improved by 20% and the GPU can be improved by 25%.
