The conversation feature in Android 11 may not be available on all devices

      Android 11 will bring many features and improvements, including a "Conversations" category in the notification menu, which will help manage all ongoing chats in various messaging services and facilitate instant replies. However, it now appears that not all Android devices are expected to get this feature after upgrading to version 11.

　　This is because as of now, Google's current Android 11 Compatibility Definition File (CCD) does not force OEMs to include the conversation function as part of the Android 11 update, but rather to decide whether to implement the conversation function. In other words, this interface is not mandatory, and almost all OEMs prefer to develop their own notification panels in their customized systems.

　　Given that Conversations is one of the major new features of Android 11, it would be disappointing if OEMs didn't end up implementing it on their devices.

　　Similarly, Google has not required OEMs to include device controls in the power menu of its Android 11 builds. The feature is the third new feature that the company debuted on its Pixel phones, and it provides people with a quick and convenient way to access all their smart home control switches from the power menu. Although Google has included the feature as part of the Android 11 update, it has not forced OEMs to implement it.

       However, Google tends to change Android CCD from time to time, and it’s possible that the company will update the document to make it mandatory for OEMs to at least include the conversations feature as part of their Android 11 updates. If not, it will just be one of many features, and Android users will have to wait until their OEM adds it.
