After the release of the P40 series, the Huawei Mate series will also be routinely updated. As usual, the Huawei Mate 40 series will be released this fall.

The Huawei P40 series is the first to launch a multi-reflection periscope 10x zoom, and the five cameras are unique in the world. The imaging capabilities of the Huawei Mate 40 series will naturally rise. There may be adjustments to the lens specifications and imaging direction, but the overall performance will definitely be at the same level, or even stronger.

Today, Tianfeng International analyst Ming-Chi Kuo pointed out in his latest report that Huawei expects to use freeform lenses on its new high-end Mate models in the second half of this year to improve wide-angle deformation.

In addition to the upgraded imaging capabilities, the Huawei Mate 40 series will also debut the next-generation Kirin processor. Previous reports have revealed that the Kirin next-generation flagship processor, codenamed "Baltimore," will not only use TSMC's 5nm process, but is also rumored to have significant improvements in both the CPU and GPU.

TSMC's 5nm process has two versions: N5 and N5P. N5 has a 15% performance improvement over the 7nm process, a 30% reduction in power consumption, and an 80% increase in crystal density. N5P is 7% more powerful than N5, and its power consumption is reduced by another 15%.

It has been revealed that the CPU part of Kirin 1020 is based on Cortex A77 or even A78, with a performance improvement of up to 50% year-on-year.

According to reports, the Kirin 1020 chip is expected to be delivered on a large scale in August this year, and Huawei may hold a new product launch conference in September.
