As an industry event held for four consecutive years, this conference held at the Beijing Yanqi Lake International Convention and Exhibition Center brought together more than a thousand companies and industry experts from around the world to discuss the application and future trends of the Internet of Things.
This conference is also the first IPC after BOE founder Wang Dongsheng stepped down. Stuart Russell, professor of computer science and electrical engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, and Kevin Ashton, the father of the Internet of Things, also gave their own interpretations of the evolution of the Internet of Things under the rapid development of artificial intelligence and 5G in their subsequent speeches. They particularly appreciated BOE's innovations in promoting the evolution of this field.
In recent years, BOE has deeply integrated 5G, artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing and other IoT technologies to provide many innovative products and solutions for IoT segmented application scenarios. The overall shipment volume of display devices remained the first in the world;
The shipment volume of five major application fields, including smartphone LCD screens, tablet computer screens, notebook computer screens, monitor screens, and TV screens, ranked first in the world;

In 2019, BOE has announced the investment in four 6th generation flexible AMOLED production lines, all with a designed capacity of 48K/month and a total investment of 46.5 billion yuan. Among them, the first phase of the Chengdu 6th generation flexible AMOLED production line has been fully operational, and the second phase is ramping up; the Mianyang 6th generation flexible AMOLED production line has been mass-produced; the Chongqing 6th generation flexible AMOLED production line project has started construction and is expected to be put into production in 2021; the Fuzhou project is under planning. At the same time, BOE has also built a leading and competitive Mini-LED technology platform through industrial chain cooperation, and launched new products in this field with ultra-fine partitioning and meeting multi-scenario applications.

At this conference, Chen Yanshun stated that in 2019, BOE achieved a year-on-year growth of 100% in 12 IoT innovative application markets such as medical and automotive.
BOE's sensor and solution business group has set medical imaging, biological detection, smart windows, microwave communications, fingerprint recognition, application solutions and other directions as long-term business directions. With the strategic guidance of "opening both ends of the chip, screen, gas/device and", it fully opens the application end and the technology end, and works hand in hand with innovative partners such as companies and research institutions in the sensor field to innovate technologies, products and new applications, and jointly create new market opportunities.
In terms of specific applications, BOE provides shelf management systems in the retail field, trajectory tracking systems in the financial field, ultra-high-definition remote consultation systems in the medical field, office signage management systems in the office field, smart exhibition systems in the cultural and museum field, and other solutions for specific industries.
Even in the hottest field of artificial intelligence, BOE has made great progress. This year, BOE won the 2019 AIM image super-resolution competition of the world's top academic conference ICCV (International Conference on Computer Vision) with its 16x super-resolution algorithm technology, and took first place in the world; in the German 20BN-jester gesture recognition competition, which has the world's largest dynamic gesture recognition data set, BOE continued to rank first in terms of recognition accuracy.
