The second generation of Galaxy Fold is expected to be launched in China with a lower price

Many foreign media predict that Samsung Electronics’ second-generation foldable phone Galaxy Fold is expected to reduce its price and be launched in more regions.

According to foreign media reports such as Asia Economy, SamMobile, and Android Central, the number of countries where the second-generation Galaxy Fold will be sold will increase significantly. SamMobile also clearly pointed out that the new foldable phone will also enter large markets such as North America and China.

The Galaxy Fold, which was launched this year, is only sold in some regions, including South Korea, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Singapore. It is scheduled to be available in the United States on the 27th, but the inventory is scarce and demand exceeds supply.

In fact, it is not surprising that Samsung Electronics is willing to increase its sales areas. Android Central pointed out in its report that although the Galaxy Fold has experienced screen controversy and high prices, its popularity after its launch is higher than Samsung Electronics expected.

What is exciting is that the second-generation Galaxy Fold is expected to reduce its price. The first-generation Galaxy Fold was priced at 2.398 million won in South Korea, almost twice the price of high-end mobile phones on the market. Foreign media predict that Samsung Electronics will reduce the storage space of the second-generation Galaxy Fold from 512GB to 256GB to lower the price.

Android Central believes that if Samsung sets a more reasonable pricing strategy, the second-generation Galaxy Fold will attract more popularity.

Although there is not much detailed information about the second-generation Galaxy Fold, Bloomberg recently predicted that the new folding phone will be launched together with the spring flagship Galaxy S11 in 2020. The main screen will be reduced from 7.3 inches to 6.7 inches and can be folded into a square. However, not many people agree with Bloomberg's prediction. Now Galaxy Fold has the advantages of both a tablet and a mobile phone. If the screen is reduced to 6.7 inches, it will not be much different from the current mainstream screen size.
