Last month, Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi launched a TV product, and Huawei's sub-brand Honor also launched a TV product (euphemistically called a smart screen). So which of the two TV products from Honor and Xiaomi is better? I'm sure everyone wants to know.
Recently, Mr. Li, CEO of AiFei Technology, shared his views on the above issues on Weibo. He said:
"After disassembling the Honor TV, I found that among the LCD panel models, the LeTV one has a better picture quality than the Mstar6A938. From the wifi to the camera chip, even the picture quality chip is all self-developed. Redmi and Xiaomi currently do not have products that can match the picture quality and sound quality. Xiaomi TV products have only shrunk in the past two years without any improvement. The Honor high-end has 6 10w speakers and the sound quality exceeds 8,000 or 9,000 yuan. I am also curious whether Xiaomi's idea of using external speakers is right if the sound quality is not good. I plan to buy a Xiaomi sound bar for comparison."
As for the earlier controversy between Honor and Xiaomi executives regarding the 2-second TV startup time, @Mr厉害 said after reviewing the Smart Screen:
"There's really nothing shady about this power on and off feature. It will take a little longer to boot up for the first time after plugging in the power, but as long as you don't unplug the power cord, it will boot up in two seconds, which is faster than any other manufacturer, breaking the previous record of 5 seconds for Whale. Shut down is shutdown, standby is sleep, and restart is restart. There's nothing complicated about it. It's too easy to be led by the rhythm now."
Judging from @Mr Li’s remarks, it is obvious that he thinks the Honor Smart Screen is much better than Xiaomi TV.
