MediaTek held a new product and technology launch conference in Shanghai today with the theme of "Gaming Chip Awakens the Power", launching the Helio G90 series, the first mobile chip designed for gaming, and the chip-level gaming optimization engine technology MediaTek HyperEngine.
MediaTek's Helio G90 series is optimized in four aspects: game network latency, control, image quality, and load control, which will bring a fully upgraded gaming experience to mobile phone users.
Lu Weibing, vice president of Xiaomi Group and general manager of Redmi brand, was also invited to the scene and officially announced that Redmi will become the first mobile phone brand equipped with MediaTek Helio G90T platform.
Lu Weibing said that since the Redmi brand started operating independently in January 2019, it has always adhered to Xiaomi's values, namely, touching people's hearts and reasonable prices. Redmi has always been committed to popularizing high-end products and improving the quality of mass products, so that more people can enjoy the changes in life brought by technology. This approach has been recognized by the market. The King Kong series released in January has sold more than 15 million units in six months, and the flagship K20 has also sold more than one million units in a single month.
"Making friends with users is Xiaomi's creed. Through communication with users, we found that most young people spend their time on games. At present, the pain points of gaming phones are still concentrated in poor performance, poor heat dissipation, and poor signal." Lu Weibing said, "MediaTek's first Helio G90 series born for gaming is a hot product that was quickly born under the premise of user orientation."
"It is a great honor to announce that Redmi will become the world's first gaming phone equipped with the G90T platform. We hope that through joint research and development and in-depth optimization, we can bring the product to market as soon as possible and live up to MediaTek's efforts and support," Lu Weibing concluded.
Lu Weibing posted two Weibo posts in a row, praising the performance of Helio G90T, and more importantly, announcing that the first mobile phone equipped with G90T will come from Redmi.
