According to Jiwei.com, at the Xiaomi CC9 series launch conference, a total of three products were launched, namely Xiaomi CC9, Xiaomi CC9 Meitu customized version, and Xiaomi CC9e. Among them, the most criticized comments were about Xiaomi CC9e using HD+ screen.

A netizen @AnunnakiK posted a Weibo post in support of Xiaomi CC9e using HD+ screen, saying:

"If a phone selling for 6499 yuan can use a domestically made secondary screen, why can't a phone selling for 1299 yuan use a 720P screen?"

The netizen's view was recognized by Xiaomi's product director Wang Teng, who reposted:

"In recent years, Xiaomi has been working hard to promote the popularization of its flagship products. Everyone has formed some inertial thinking and has higher requirements for Xiaomi. Thank you for your attention and support. We should look at the shortcomings and the advantages more."

Many netizens still did not buy Wang Teng's response and continued to be pessimistic about Xiaomi CC9e. So Wang Teng began to promote the advantages of Xiaomi CC9e, saying that it is the best in the 1,500 yuan price range in terms of photography and appearance.

Wang Teng also said: "In fact, most of the main models priced below 1,500 yuan offline have HD+ screens. If you have high requirements for the screen, there is no need to complain about CC9e. Just choose CC9, which has the same top-level AMOLED screen as Mi 9 and a better processor. 6+64 for 1,799, 6+128 for 1,999."

Let's take a look at the much-criticized Xiaomi CC9e:

Xiaomi CC9e is equipped with a 6.088-inch 720P resolution AMOLED screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor, a 32MP front camera, a 48MP ultra-high-definition AI triple camera (48MP+8MP+2MP) at the back, the latest screen fingerprint technology, a built-in 4030 mAh battery, and pre-installed MIUI10 deeply customized based on Android 9.0. The price starts at 1,299 yuan.
