Xiaomi is one of the four major domestic mobile phone giants, Huami, OPPO and Vivo. Because it is so famous, various Xiaomi XX brands often appear on the market. If you are not familiar with Xiaomi, it is easy to be deceived. Xiaomi is also deeply troubled by this, and it has also launched some lawsuits to protect its legitimate rights and interests.

Recently, Xiaomi won a lawsuit regarding its own trademark. Here’s what happened:

In their actual operations, Zhongshan Pentium Electric Appliance Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Zhongshan Pentium Company") and Zhongshan Mijia Home Appliances Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Zhongshan Mijia Company") have fully imitated Xiaomi's trademarks, business names, domain names, slogans, brand colors, etc.

Zhongshan Pentium Company and Zhongshan Mijia Company not only registered trademarks such as "Xiaomi Life" and "Smart Mi Life", but also used the "Xiaomi Life" logo on more than 20 home appliances such as induction cookers, and sold them on mainstream e-commerce platforms such as Suning and JD.com, with total sales reaching more than 80 million.

On November 6, 2018, Xiaomi sued Zhongshan Pentium Co., Ltd. and Zhongshan Mijia Co., Ltd. in the Nanjing Intermediate People's Court of Jiangsu Province.

After the court trial, it was determined that Zhongshan Pentium Electric Appliance Co., Ltd., Zhongshan Mijia Life Appliance Co., Ltd. and others infringed Xiaomi's trademark rights. The court finally ordered them to immediately stop the infringement and compensate Xiaomi for economic losses of 50 million yuan.

Pan Jiutang, partner of Xiaomi Industrial Investment Department, forwarded the news of Xiaomi's victory and said that when buying Xiaomi products, please look for official channels such as Xiaomi Mall and Xiaomi Home.
