CEVA, the global leader in Bluetooth 5.1 low energy IP, today announced that it has completed conformance testing of its RivieraWaves Bluetooth 5.1 low energy IP using the industry-proven Ellisys Bluetooth Qualifier™ (EBQ) test system.
"We are proud to continue to lead the Bluetooth IP industry with our Bluetooth 5.1 low energy and dual-mode Bluetooth 5.1 IPs now adopted by more than a dozen licensees," said Ange Aznar, vice president and general manager of the Wireless IoT Business Unit at CEVA. "Achieving SIG conformance certification is an important step in ensuring our customers receive high-quality Bluetooth IP, and the Ellisys Bluetooth Conformance Test System platform makes this process simple and efficient."
"To match the launch timing of the first manufacturers, it is important that we are fully prepared for EBQ, testing and certifying devices and IP even before the new core specifications are released," said Mario Pasquali, President and CEO of Ellisys. "CEVA has been one of the first developers to use the EBQ system as new features are added to these specifications. We are very pleased to have worked with CEVA to successfully achieve SIG conformance certification for our RivieraWaves Bluetooth 5.1 low energy IP."
CEVA's RivieraWaves Bluetooth IP platform provides a comprehensive solution for Bluetooth LE and Bluetooth dual-mode connectivity. Each platform consists of a hardware baseband controller and a feature-rich software protocol stack. The platform has a flexible wireless interface that can integrate RivieraWaves RF or various partners' RF IP to achieve the best choice of foundry and process node. The RivieraWaves Bluetooth IP platform supports all Bluetooth 5.1 features, including advanced features such as AoA/AoD direction finding, Randomized Advertising Channel Indexing, Periodic Advertising Sync Transfer, GATT caching, etc. To date, the RivieraWaves Bluetooth IP platform has been used in more than 1.5 billion shipped devices and dozens of licensees, and has been widely deployed by many of the world's leading semiconductor companies and OEMs in consumer products and IoT devices, including smartphones, tablets, speakers, head-worn and in-ear headphones, hearing aids and other wearable devices.
