Today, China Mobile publicly launched a single procurement for the Phase I and Phase II projects of the domestic systems for international and government and enterprise dedicated transmission networks, and Huawei was the sole winner of the bid.
According to the announcement, 5945 OTN equipment will be purchased for the Phase I and Phase II projects of China Mobile International and the government and enterprise dedicated transmission network domestic system. The specific purchase contents are shown in the table below:
This is not the first time that Huawei has won the China Mobile International and government and enterprise dedicated transmission network project. Last year, the first phase of the project was put out to public bidding, with a total of 9,851 WDM/OTN terminals. Huawei eventually defeated ZTE and FiberHome to win the domestic and foreign bids.
It is understood that China Mobile intends to build the international and government-enterprise dedicated transmission network into the world's largest government-enterprise dedicated line OTN network. This is an important layout of China Mobile in the dedicated line market, especially the high-value government-enterprise dedicated line market.
With the development of globalization, informatization and cloud services, the demand for dedicated lines will increase. The dedicated line business market will become the focus of competition in the 2B market in addition to operators' 2C services (mobile services, broadband services). Customers such as government, finance, large enterprises, and international dedicated lines are high-value customers in the dedicated line market, and these customers have the highest requirements for dedicated line quality.
With its long-term leading advantages in the OTN field and deep understanding of private line transmission solutions, Huawei adopted the latest OXC and OTN cluster equipment for the first time in this project. Finally, Huawei became the only partner of China Mobile in international and government and enterprise private transmission network (OTN network) projects with its absolute advantage in technical solutions.
