Analysts say Apple will launch two new AirPods with a new design as early as Q4

Tianfeng International analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said in a report that Apple is expected to launch two new AirPods as early as the fourth quarter of 2019, one with a completely new design (priced higher than the current model) and one with the same design as the current AirPods (priced the same as the current model).

　　Guo Mingchi also said that the common point of these two new AirPods is that the internal design abandons the current SMT+flex and hard board design and adopts SiP design to improve assembly yield, save internal space and reduce costs. We are positive about the demand for the new AirPods and Apple's leadership in the TWS market, and estimate that AirPods shipments in 2019 and 2020 will reach 52 million and 75-85 million units respectively.

　　Kuo Ming-Chi predicts that Luxshare, Goertek and Amkor will be the biggest winners of the new AirPods. Amkor is the new beneficiary of the new AirPods and is the exclusive supplier of SiP. Luxshare is the main assembler of the new AirPods with a new design. Goertek is the main assembler of another new AirPods (with the same design as the current AirPods).
