Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo and Samsung will launch devices equipped with the Snapdragon X Plus 8-core platform, and some devices will be available for sale starting today.


September 4, 2024, Berlin – On the eve of the 2024 Berlin International Consumer Electronics Show (IFA 2024), Qualcomm Technologies announced the launch of the Snapdragon® X Plus 8-core platform, expanding its Snapdragon X series product portfolio to bring multi-day battery life, excellent performance and AI-enabled Windows 11 AI+ PC experiences to more people.


This Snapdragon X Plus platform uses an 8-core Qualcomm Oryon™ CPU to support ultra-fast response speed and efficiency, achieving 61% higher CPU performance than competitors at the same power consumption, while competitors require 179% more power for the same performance [CPU performance is based on the test results of Geekbench v6.2 single-core running on Windows 11 OS in July and August 2024. The test results of Snapdragon X Plus 8 core (X1P-46-100) are based on Qualcomm reference design running Windows 11 OS. The test results of Intel Core Ultra 7 155U (12 cores) are based on ASUS ZenBook S 13 (UX5304MA) laptop running Windows 11. Power consumption and performance comparison results are based on specified terminal measurements and hardware testing. ].
