September 4, 2024, Berlin – On the eve of the 2024 Berlin International Consumer Electronics Show (IFA 2024), Qualcomm Technologies announced the launch of the Snapdragon® X Plus 8-core platform, expanding its Snapdragon X series product portfolio to bring multi-day battery life, excellent performance and AI-enabled Windows 11 AI+ PC experiences to more people.
This Snapdragon X Plus platform uses an 8-core Qualcomm Oryon™ CPU to support ultra-fast response speed and efficiency, achieving 61% higher CPU performance than competitors at the same power consumption, while competitors require 179% more power for the same performance [CPU performance is based on the test results of Geekbench v6.2 single-core running on Windows 11 OS in July and August 2024. The test results of Snapdragon X Plus 8 core (X1P-46-100) are based on Qualcomm reference design running Windows 11 OS. The test results of Intel Core Ultra 7 155U (12 cores) are based on ASUS ZenBook S 13 (UX5304MA) laptop running Windows 11. Power consumption and performance comparison results are based on specified terminal measurements and hardware testing. ]. The platform uses an integrated GPU and supports up to three external displays, ensuring excellent graphics performance and immersive visual experience. The powerful 45 TOPS NPU is the core of the Snapdragon X Plus 8-core platform, which can bring excellent AI processing capabilities and leading performance per watt. Combined with the significant improvement in the platform's connectivity, it will promote ultra-portable designs, excellent battery life, and take productivity to a new level. Whether creating presentations or conducting video conferences anytime, anywhere, the versatility of the platform will enable transformative experiences.
