On July 6, in response to the news that Huawei will launch two satellites to seize the development of 6G, Huawei issued a statement on its official Weibo account saying: Fake news.
Some media reported that in July this year, Huawei will cooperate with China Mobile and China Aerospace Corporation to launch two satellites. Huawei's move to launch satellites is intended to enter the 6G market and take the lead in seizing the initiative in 6G research and development.
Previously, Huawei's rotating chairman Xu Zhijun said at the Huawei Global Analyst Conference that 6G should be launched on the market around 2030, and Huawei will also release a 6G white paper.
Xu Zhijun revealed that Huawei had started 6G research as early as 2017. Huawei is currently focusing on two aspects of work: first, working with the industry to define what 6G is. Second, focusing on the vision and definition of 6G, we are conducting some basic research and cutting-edge technology research, hoping to realize the 6G we have jointly defined.
