Cirrus Logic (NASDAQ: CRUS) recently announced the appointment of John Forsyth as president of Cirrus Logic. Previously, John Forsyth served as chief strategy officer at Cirrus Logic, responsible for driving the product strategy of Cirrus Logic's low-power, high-precision mixed-signal processing solutions. As president, John Forsyth will play a more important role in the company's daily business operations, assume more responsibilities, and lead the product development team to continue to drive product line strategy. At the same time, Jason Rhode will continue to serve as CEO, focusing on the company's long-term development and strategic direction.
“John Forsyth joined Cirrus Logic as part of Wolfson Microelectronics, which we acquired in 2014, and has brought tremendous value to the company,” said Jason Rhode, CEO of Cirrus Logic. “During his tenure as Chief Strategy Officer, John Forsyth demonstrated outstanding leadership and led numerous new initiatives that will drive future growth opportunities for the company. I am pleased to have John Forsyth assume the role of President and work with him to drive Cirrus Logic to new heights.”
John Forsyth began his career developing handheld devices at Psion in London and has over 20 years of experience in embedded technology. Prior to joining Wolfson in 2012, John Forsyth led product development and strategy at a number of technology companies, including being CTO of the Symbian Foundation and VP of Strategy at Symbian Software.
