Human skin perceives external stimuli through four types of tactile receptors, including Merkel cells, Meissner corpuscles, annular corpuscles, and Ruffini corpuscles. The different response speeds and dynamic frequencies of these receptors enable humans to perceive a variety of external stimuli.
Construction of robot tactile perception system
Corresponding to the human tactile sensing system, the robot's tactile perception system consists of three modules: the sensing layer, the transmission layer, and the control layer. The sensing layer is responsible for collecting external stimulus signals as the basis; the transmission layer converts these physical signals into data for further analysis; the control layer uses data analysis tools and to build data models to guide the robot to complete various actions.
