New CEO: Dr. Torsten Derr will take over as CEO of SCHOTT AG on January 1, 2025

• From January 1, 2025, Dr. Torsten Derr will take over as CEO of SCHOTT AG.

• The new CEO of SCHOTT Group previously served as CEO of SGL Carbon SE.

Dr. Dudson will officially take over as CEO of SCHOTT AG from January 1, 2025. SCHOTT AG announced in October 2024 that Dr. Dudson will succeed Dr. Frank Heinricht, who has successfully led the SCHOTT Group for 11 years. Dr. Heinricht will retire on December 31, 2024. Dr. Dudson has been the CEO of SGL Carbon since 2020 and will join SCHOTT AG after his contract ends. In his new position in Mainz, Germany, he will be responsible for the SCHOTT Group's glass tubing business unit as well as group functions such as research and development, compliance and legal affairs, human resources, marketing and communication, and strategic development. In addition, he will serve as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SCHOTT Pharma, a SCHOTT subsidiary.

Dr. Dudson was born in Bremen, Germany in 1970 and received his master's and doctoral degrees in chemistry from the University of Bremen. He started his career at Bayer AG in 1997 as a polymer R&D manager. In 2003, he joined the specialty chemicals company LANXESS AG, where he served in various leadership positions, including Head of Supply Chain Excellence and Commercial and Chief Commercial Officer. In 2016, he was transferred to the subsidiary Saltigo to manage the fine chemicals business, and then became CEO of SGL Carbon in 2020. At SGL Carbon's headquarters in Wiesbaden, Germany, he successfully drove the publicly listed company focused on carbon-based technologies to profitable development.
