As the consumption habits of the new generation of people shift to the pursuit of quality of life and a new experience of freeing their hands, cleaning appliances represented by sweepers and floor scrubbers are gradually experiencing an explosion in market demand. According to Euromonitor data, the sales volume of sweepers increased from 2.1421 million units to 15.6115 million units from 2011 to 2021, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 21.97%. In line with this trend, Awinic launched a sweeping application solution to provide users with humanized interaction and convenient experience.
The block diagram of Awinic sweeping robot solution is as follows:
The program is mainly divided into four parts
Human-computer interaction
Motor drive
General Devices
Human-computer interaction (breathing light driver, PA, capacitive buttons, screen display)
With the popularization of the technology, consumers' demand for user experience has gradually emerged. Awinic's improvement of human-computer interaction experience mainly focuses on vision, hearing, touch and other aspects.
1. Breathing light driver
The smart breathing light can not only indicate the working status, but also enhance the humanized experience and sense of technology of the robot. With the introduction of intelligent functions such as voice control, the host and base station are suitable scenarios for the application of breathing lights.
After more than ten years of development, Awinic's breathing light driver products cover 3~216 channels, providing a full range of services including + lighting effects + software debugging to facilitate the implementation of customers' solutions. It has been introduced into mass production in many leading companies.
The main products used in the market are the AW210xx high-performance direct-drive series. Taking the 36-channel model AW21036 as an example, the following is a brief introduction:
•Can drive 36/12 RGB,
single channel 16.8 million level
•±5% current
•EMI and audio noise suppression
•Open/short circuit detection
•Autonomous breathing mode, saving main control power consumption
•: 400kHz I²C
•Range: 2.7V~5.5V, address expandable
•Package: QFN-44L 5mm×5mm×0.75mm
2. Audio PA
voice interaction is also an important human-computer interaction method. Based on the basic function of voice assistant dialogue, some models released in the past two years have taken real-time calls as a new highlight, which has put forward new requirements for audio links.
Aiwei audio products provide different specifications and models for different application requirements of the sweeping machine market. For example, in some scenarios, in order to simplify the design, the audio PA EMI is required to be as small as possible, which is suitable for the AB class AW8091SPR. In some scenarios, due to platform restrictions, digital interfaces are required, and digital interface series such as AW88082 are used.
High PSRR: 85dB

3. Capacitive buttons
As consumers' demands for the self-cleaning degree, durability, and aesthetics of sweeping robots increase, the integrated design and dust and water resistance brought by capacitive buttons are becoming more and more popular.
For this scenario, Awinic recommends the single-touch AW93001 series and the AW9320x series with integrated waterproof algorithms.

4. Screen display
There are two main screen display solutions for sweepers/scrubbers: LCD screen and LED display. Awin has corresponding LED driver solutions, and both have been mass-produced by leading sweeper/scrubber brands in the industry.

Intelligent detection (Hall switch/latch, op amp/)
As a highly automated device, the sweeping robot requires real-time internal detection to provide the main control with the working status of each module of the machine.
Awin's intelligent detection includes two parts: Hall switch/latch and op amp/comparator.
√ Hall switch is mainly used for in-place detection of modules such as dust boxes and water tanks, while Hall latch is used to detect the frequency of roller flipping to calculate the mileage of the whole machine.
√ The application scenario of op amp/comparator is mainly status reporting.
1. Hall detection
Awin recommends AW86504B (switch) and AW86530 (latch). Taking AW86504B as an example, the following is a brief introduction:
High sensitive omnipolar operation
Micropower operation: Typ 0.8μA (average: VDD=1.8V)
Ultra small package: SOT23-3L
VDD range: 1.6V to 5.5V
2. Op amp/comparator
Awin recommends AWS90001 (single-channel op amp), AWS79032 (dual-channel op amp) and AWS79101 (single-channel comparator). Taking AWS79101 as an example, the following is a brief introduction:
