In 2022, Mecha-Mind overcame many technical challenges in the application scenarios of grasping, such as object recognition and trajectory planning. Through machine vision and AI algorithms, it has successfully achieved the ability to pick up a large number of SKU goods without registering the 3D model of the goods in advance, improving the turnover rate of goods and reducing labor costs. The technology was patented in 2022 and the trademark "pickanything" was registered.

The use of advanced technologies such as automated logistics equipment and machine vision to achieve efficient collaboration between people, machines and objects is an inevitable trend for the logistics industry to reduce costs and increase efficiency in the future. At the same time, with the rapid development of e-commerce and new consumption, customers have higher and higher demands for quality, timeliness and delivery cycle. Therefore, this type of application scenario has huge market potential.
In 2022, Meka-Mind successfully delivered the second phase of the BESTORE Logistics Center for a renovation and upgrading project. Based in Wuhan's largest food industry cluster and radiating across the country, BESTORE has become the largest leisure food chain retail enterprise in central China and is in a stage of rapid development. Meka-Mind provides it with AI+3D robot solutions, visually guided industrial robots to achieve disordered grasping, precise positioning and other tasks, and through a one-stop warehouse automation solution with intelligent picking, it meets the strategic needs of corporate development. The solution uses AI to accurately identify different types of items, can pick up a large number of SKUs, and quickly switch between different suction cups or other fixtures and flexible rotation angles, while efficiently responding to various placement methods, helping the BESTORE smart warehouse to realize the automation of the process of grabbing goods from the basket. The main technological advancements include:
a. The robot can pick up a large number of SKU products without registering the 3D model of the products in advance, realizing the registration-free picking of common products.
b. The cycle speed is faster, and the grabbing speed for small and light goods can reach 1,200 pieces/hour.
c. Can handle all kinds of common packaging including small size, box shape, fruit shape, bottle shape, irregular shape, translucent, black, etc.
d. You can choose to use the quick-change system to switch different suction cups or other clamps. The configured clamps can quickly change angles and flexibly handle situations such as goods being placed against the edge or in corners.
e. Can be placed gently to avoid damage to the goods.
At present, Mekamind has completed the automation and intelligent upgrade of the second phase of the logistics center. The daily shipping capacity of the online automatic sorting area will increase from 80,000 orders/day to 200,000 orders/day. At the same time, the implementation of the intelligent warehousing solution will strongly support Bestore to complete the deep integration of online and offline channels, and manage inventory scientifically and efficiently through intelligent transformation, reduce the loss in the warehousing and logistics process from production to sales, guide enterprises to achieve precision production, reduce costs and achieve energy conservation and emission reduction. In addition, the advanced one-stop warehousing automation solution has brought Bestore greater operating traffic, faster delivery efficiency and higher order accuracy, maximizing the turnover rate of goods, helping Bestore to achieve refined service management while developing at a high speed, and escorting the sustainable development of the enterprise.
