A perfect match between Sany Robotics and Estun
In fact, the cooperation between Estun and Sany Robotics has been well-prepared. In the "List of 2022 Smart Manufacturing Demonstration Factory Winners and Excellent Scenarios" announced in December last year, Sany Heavy Equipment Shenyang Smart Factory was listed, and this factory uses a large number of Estun's industrial robot products.
It is understood that CLOOS Robotics, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Estun, is a leading brand of intelligent welding solutions in the world, with advanced welding process technology and complete digital welding solution capabilities. In the smart factory of Sany Heavy Equipment in Shenyang, nearly 100 CLOOS arc welding robots provide continuous and stable welding services, creating a high-quality digital manufacturing system.
Backed by the Sany Group, Sany Robotics has built three business segments, namely smart warehousing and logistics, smart production lines, and smart forklifts, relying on advanced technologies such as 5G, industrial Internet , and AI, to fully enable the digital upgrade of industries such as discrete manufacturing and new energy. In 2022, Sany Robotics will build more than 100 smart production line projects, covering industries such as construction machinery, new energy, chemical fiber, and beverages.
Estun acquired CLOOS in 2019 and has now integrated it into its own product system. Strong alliance to achieve the goal of 10 billion
Sany Robot is optimistic about the future development of intelligent manufacturing. Therefore, at the partner conference held in January 2022, it announced that by 2025, sales will exceed 10 billion and the valuation will exceed 100 billion. Data shows that in 2021, Sany Robot executed 96 orders throughout the year, with revenue of 1.15 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 188.3%.
Although the growth is rapid, it is obviously not easy to achieve the sales target of 10 billion. Sany Robot is also aware of this problem. Therefore, in early December last year, Sany Heavy Industry, Sany Group, Changsha Zhiding and Changsha Zhiqiang jointly invested to increase Sany Robot's registered capital from RMB 50 million to RMB 100 million. They want to increase the speed of acquiring customers and completing projects by strengthening the company's strength. The cooperation with Estun is naturally part of the development strategy.
Estun's industrial robot shipments exceeded 10,000 units for the first time in 2021. By 2022, shipments reached nearly 18,000 units, an increase of more than 50%. The target for 2023 was set at 25,000 units. This growth rate is still very impressive.
Earlier in the survey, Estun expressed an optimistic outlook for 2023. On the one hand, under the favorable macroeconomic environment of policy support and industry recovery, sales will still maintain a relatively high growth; on the other hand, it will continue to adhere to the measures of domestic substitution of parts, cost reduction and efficiency improvement, and continuously improve profitability indicators.
China accounts for half of the global industrial robot market. Against the backdrop of promoting intelligent manufacturing and declining population, the trend of replacing humans with machines continues to accelerate. There will be many market opportunities in the future, and competition will become more intense. Only by continuously improving the quality of their products and service capabilities can they stand out. The strong combination of Sany Robotics and Estun is obviously also intended to complement each other's strengths and seize greater voice in future market opportunities.
