Automatic charging of power banks is annoying! [Copy link]

Here's what happened. Because I had guests at home, I went to sleep in the hut. There was no socket near the bed in the hut, so I used a power bank to charge my phone. After plugging it in, I fell asleep. As a result, I kept hearing the sound of my phone plugging into the charger in the middle of the night. After hearing it several times, I was so annoyed that I got up and unplugged the charging cable, and then I slept more peacefully. . .

When the power bank detects that the charging current is too small, it will automatically cut off the power. What is the principle of automatic charging?

But at least this thing has a promotional point. When we make products, we write features based on technology. It is true that they are not as exciting as those who write copy. But in our opinion, there is no technical content, so we can't say such things.   Details Published on 2022-10-31 19:58

Just change the power bank

It feels to me that the phone is fully charged, and then it consumes some power while in standby mode. It detects that the power is low and starts charging again.  Details Published on 2022-10-25 13:06

There is such a phenomenon. Before, the power bank could charge Apple mobile phones intermittently and the charging was very slow. It may be related to the charging protocol.

It should be like this. Turning off the charging reminder sound will have no effect.  Details Published on 2022-10-25 16:07

The power bank has a button, and charging starts only when the button is pressed. This type of power bank will disconnect after it is fully charged.

My power banks are all old-fashioned ones from several years ago, so they don't have this problem.

This type of power bank will also have voltage output at the port in standby mode, but the driving capacity is much lower than during normal operation. Once an increase in output current is detected, the main output channel will be automatically opened to provide high current.

Does this happen with all new power banks, or is it a rare occurrence? I feel like this feature has both advantages and disadvantages.  Details Published on 2022-10-25 14:41

My power bank has a button to detect the remaining power. When you press it, an LED will indicate the remaining power. Obviously, you don't need to press this button to charge.  Details Published on 2022-10-25 15:05

Some adapters have low current, so the amount of power will decrease as they are charged. Some of my adapters just charge less as they are charged.  Details Published on 2022-10-26 13:07

I have only seen a few examples of the dangers of chargers online, and I am already scared enough to ignore them.

A mobile phone needs to be charged almost every day. If it is fully charged 500 times, the battery will be useless and the phone will be broken.

This is not the case. Basically, it is a certain number of times that the performance can be guaranteed after fully charging and discharging. It can still be used if it exceeds the limit. I just don't know how the performance will decrease.  Details Published on 2022-10-26 17:05
