With the development of lithium battery technology and the increasing demand of consumers for battery life of smart terminal products, fast charging power management technology is being adopted by more and more manufacturers. However, the high-current constant current charging setting of traditional charging management chips often affects the increase of cut-off current. In the application of high-rate battery fast charging, it will result in the battery not being fully charged in order to take into account fast charging. Siyuan Semiconductor has grandly launched the 2A BUCK charging management chip SY6201 with a cut-off current of 10mA, which perfectly realizes the performance requirements of high-current charging and low-current cut-off.


SY6201 is a highly integrated single-cell lithium-ion/lithium-polymer battery switch charging chip with system power path management (NVDC) function, suitable for portable wearable devices with small size and low charging cut-off current. The integrated path management function can give priority to system power supply, and still meet the system power supply voltage requirements when the battery is over-discharged, plug and play. It also has pre-charge (PRE.C), fast constant current charge (CC) and constant voltage (CV) regulation functions, as well as charge endpoint control and automatic recharge when the battery voltage drops. SY6201 adopts QFN-24 4mm×4mm package.

  • Supports delayed timing mode after charging is completed

  • Supports NTC detection of battery temperature and configurable JEITA curve

  • Integrated charging overvoltage protection

  • Charge voltage, current and temperature thresholds I2C programmable

  • Charging current temperature adjustment function, the charging current automatically decreases as the temperature rises

  • It has dynamic adjustment functions when input power is insufficient, including IINPDM, VINDPM and timely battery replenishment

  • Supports comprehensive protection mechanisms, including VSYS overcurrent and short circuit protection, battery overvoltage, input overvoltage and overtemperature, etc.

  • Support configurable delay to enter ship mode

  • 12uA standby power consumption, 2uA ship mode power consumption

  • Complete status reporting and interruption mechanism

Comprehensive system reset mechanism, supporting configurable system power-off reset functions such as long-press button/watchdog/VBUS insertion

SY6201 has an internal integrated I2C communication module, the host can flexibly configure the charging parameters and obtain the charging status, and can also report related interrupts. It integrates comprehensive reset functions, including watchdog timer reset, key reset, and register reset for charging and discharging.
